Learning Ruby and Rails

I get occasional messages via meebo (which I love) from folks who have stumbled across this blog, most of them are Ruby and/or Rails related.

Recently a message came in about learning Ruby, and by extension, I am assuming Ruby on Rails.

Here's the route I took:

  1. The Pick-axe book

  2. Agile Web Development with Rails


After that, it comes down to lots and lots of practice, all 10,000 hours worth (if you are a fan of Outliers).

For completeness sake, though, I've also read at least portions of the following books that are Rails related:
